Some information about Projektil 2

Projektil 2 is 16 bit ancient dinosaur software programmed with
Visual Basic 3.0. Maybe VB 5.0 or 6.0, Delphi, C++ or some other
environment for software-development would do the job better but
if you have in mind to keep the packed file as small as possible,
VB 3.0 still is a good choice.

The goal of neat size is also a reason not to hand over the package
with a comfortable installation procedure as they are fashinaoble
today. Installation procedures are located in files and files need
disk,- net,- and transmission space and time.

The "installation" of Projektil 2 is nevertheless simple and if
you made it into reading this file, "installing" Projektil 2 on
your machine can not be too hard for you.

It is as simple as that:

The Files

PROJEKTL.EXE
VBRUN300.DLL
GRID.VBX
SETUP.BAL
MUNI2
MUNI3

must be copied into one and the same directory on a harddisk or
floppy disk drive. The program can be started by calling
or double-klicking PROJEKTL.EXE then. For deinstallation just
remove the files from your drive.

If any other visual basic 3.0-software has been or still is
set up on the computer, it might not be necessary to copy the
runtime-files GRID.VBX and VBRUN300.DLL once more. But if any
"hangs" occur (the reason can be missing runtime-files or version
conflicts), the files GRID.VBX and VBRUN300.DLL in the PROJEKTIL
package have to be copied onto the drive.

The program is still developing. Some bugs might occur. This goes
especially for the cartridge-editor. This part of the program should
make it possible to increase and develop the cartridge-data,
delivered with the program. This part of the program does not yet
include the opportunity of drawing belted cases. There are still
some bugs from time to time in that part of the program.
The translation into english ain't ready in this part either.

However: The author does not accept any responsibility or liability
for any defects or harm, caused by PROJEKTIL 2.

The program has been run and tested on many different hardware and
software-platforms including windows 95, windows 98, windows NT and
I486 2/66 to Pentium 450 hardware and no major crashes were noticed.
